An exclusive design for Spot Hybrid SH-AWD model, the wheels feature a combination back paint and machined finish for a high-contrast appearance.
The Sport Hybrid shares supercar technology with the NSX for an immediate, powerful driving experience unmatched in the segment. The original Super Handling All-Wheel Drive™ (SH-AWD®) system by Acura stunned the world with its ability to direct engine power from the front to rear and side to side. The industry even coined the term “torque vectoring” to describe its unique abilities. The rear electric motors of the hybrid system are a major advancement to this leading-edge handling system. 377-hp2 comes courtesy of the 3-motor Sport Hybrid Super Handling All-Wheel DriveTM (SH-AWD®) system, 7-Speed Dual-Clutch Transmission, Electronic Torque Vectoring, and double wishbone front suspension. When the RLX Sport Hybrid enters a curve, the rear outside motor spins its wheel slightly faster to help rotate the RLX through the turn. In addition, the rear motor on the inside of the curve creates electrically generated drag on its wheel, further contributing to the rotating motion (called “yaw”). The electrically driven rear wheels perform these actions in a curve automatically and do not require the driver to accelerate through the turn to create the yaw effect.
The 2019 RLX has a range of technology features designed to improve the experience of every drive. From highly intelligent cabin comfort to intuitive safety and driver assistance, experience sport sedan innovation at every touch. The Head-Up Display projects a transparent, easy-to-see image onto the lower portion of the windshield allowing you to view key vehicle information while keeping your eyes on the road. To maximize comfort for all passengers, the RLX features a tri-zone automatic climate control system that allows the driver, front passenger and rear passengers to adjust their own temperature and airflow settings. The RLX comes with an intuitively easy touchscreen with all the controls you need at any given time with its ODMD™. What could have resulted in over 30 buttons is now a mere nine. Additionally, the next generation of the AcuraLink® 3 system now features two-way cellular communication through an embedded cellular device, making it more versatile. Location and diagnostic information can be sent and retrieved from the car, allowing greater interaction with a smartphone, as well as more available services.
The AcuraWatch™4 suite of class-leading safety and driver assistive technologies is applied to every 2019 RLX. With multiple radar and ultrasonic sensors, the RLX provides all the luxury and confidence you’ve come to expect from Acura. Features include Collision Mitigation Braking, Road Departure Mitigation, Adaptive Cruise Control5, Lane Keeping Assist6 and Traffic Jam Assist.

(5) ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL (ACC)
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) cannot detect all objects ahead and may not detect a given object; accuracy will vary based on weather, speed and other factors. ACC should not be used in heavy traffic, poor weather or on winding roads. ACC only includes a limited braking function. Driver remains responsible for slowing or stopping the vehicle to avoid a collision.
(6) LANE KEEPING ASSIST SYSTEM (LKAS)
LKAS only assists driver in maintaining proper lane position when lane markings are identified without a turn signal in use and can only apply mild steering torque to assist. LKAS may not detect all lane markings; accuracy will vary based on weather, speed and road condition. System operation affected by extreme interior heat. Driver remains responsible for safely operating vehicle and avoiding collisions.
Road Departure Mitigation (RDM) with Lane Departure Warning (LDW) only alerts drivers when lane drift is detected without a turn signal in use. RDM can apply mild steering torque to assist in maintaining proper lane position and/or brake pressure to slow the vehicle’s departure from a detected lane.
